Discussion
The Process Run Folder into dnaLIMS form is used to:
1. Store the sequencer results in dnaLIMS,
2. Email the initial results to the users,
3. Process the Chromat files with Phred (If Phred is installed and enabled.),
4. Copy the sequencer files into the dropbox.
To perform these tasks, the form is divided into three sections:
1. Assignment,
2. Distribution,
3. Post Processing.
Software Usage
1. Assignment
This section assigns a Sample Sheet to a Run Folder.
To assign the sample sheet:
1. Select the Sample Sheet Number from the Sample Sheet select list.
This will populate the Sample Sheet and Sequencer text boxes.
If the Sample Sheet was previously associated with a Run Folder,
the Run Folder name will populate the Run Folder text box.
2. If the Sample Sheet was not associated to a Run Folder, Select the appropriate
Run Folder from the Run Folder select list.
This will populate the Run Folder text box.
3. Select the Radio Button titled Step 4.
4. Select the Submit Button if the Distribution and Post Processing sections will not be used.
NOTE: If the Run Folder select list is empty, upload the Run Folder into the TO_UNIX directory.
Process Run Folder into dnaLIMS Form
2. Distribution
1. Email Sequence Files to Users -- If the Email Sequence function is enabled
on the Sequencing Request form and the users selected yes for the option, by checking
this checkbox, the sequence files will be emailed to the user.
2. Email Trace Files to Users -- If the Email Trace function is enabled
on the Sequencing Request form and the users selected yes for the option, by checking
this checkbox, the trace files will be emailed to the user.
Those users who did not check yes to either of the above functions will not have
either sequence or trace files emailed to them.
The Sequence and Trace files can be manually emailed to the users by using the Administrator
link eMail Files.
Please verify that all users have email addresses defined for them within the dnaLIMS
password file.
3. Post Processing
The remaining form focus on Phred processing and distributing files via the dropbox.
Selecting the checkboxes will initate the appropriate action.
