Using Stuffit Deluxe--Creating a tar file
To create a Run Folder tar file:
1. Launch "Stuffit Deluxe".
2. Display the contents of the "Translate" pull down menu.
3. Select "Create" from the "tar" sub-menu.
The "Items to Archive" window is displayed.
4. Within the left scroll list navigate to the directory holding the
Run Folder. Highlight the Run Folder and select the "Add >>" button.
The Run Folder name is now displayed in the right scroll list.
(Make sure only the Run Folder name is displayed, not the contents
of the Run Folder)
5. Select the "Archive" button.
This displays a Save File dialog box.
6. Within the "Create tar archive" text box, title the file to
save as: "run-folder-name.tar", and select the "Save" button.
The name of the file should not contain spaces or control characters.
It is be a good idea to rename the Run Folder with rf-SampleSheetNum.
If the sample sheet number is 234 then rename the folder to rf-234,
Then name the tar file.
Example: rf-234.tar
